Lindsay

I was born and raised in Southern California Avocado & Wine country, went to college in small-town Michigan, and spent a divine year of study in Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires.  In May of 2010, I graduated with a triple degree in History, Marketing and European Studies, and am currently searching for my next calling in life.  It's a bit difficult finding that next step when your personality is more suited to academia and traveling the world. Yet, until I pursue that Graduate degree, I hesitate to crunch numbers in a dark high-rise cubicle.  It's rather exciting really... I never know what's coming at me next.  Through these posts I seek to find and share moments of truth, beauty and goodness in my daily life.  I enjoy these sorts of challenges that present themselves at this stage of my life.  They make a person stronger and reveal a little more about your character each and every time. As you read you will learn more about me as an uninhibited world traveler, history nerd, book reading fiend, loyal sister & friend, amateur vocalist (in the true Latin sense of the word "for the love of"), budding oenologist & gastronomist, defender of the classical liberal arts and principles, appreciator of the finer things Western Civilization has to offer, disciple of the Anglican Catholic Faith and so much more.  I seek to live life fully and well.

Haec cogitate is Latin vulgate meaning "think on these things."  For several years, these words from Philippians have had an incredibly deep meaning to me spiritually and intellectually.  Not only does it encourage us to cultivate and refine our hearts to those principles which are good, but the words can dually serve a secular purpose.  This is what I seek to accomplish with this blog.  A place to express thoughts on things that are good, true and beautiful in life as well as spirit.  A place to share these thoughts and experiences with friends and with the world.

"Finally, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things." Phil 4:8
